Coachwhips - Bangers Vs Fuckers

Hailing from San Francisco, Coachwhips specialised in a dirty rock n roll with a smash of punk, a bucket of garage and a ton of "Let's just see what we can get away with" attitude.  No song on this 11 track album dents the other side of 2 and a half minutes, so nothing every gets a chance to out stay it's welcome.

Full of venom and shake you ass boogie, from the opening track "You Gonna Get It" towards the ending  that is "Goodnight, Goodbye" there is not one bad track here. "Dancefloor" is an aptly titled song which should by rights be played along side Pixies "Debaser" at every indie disco, but as alas I fear it will not be the case as some dj's just play - the hits!

This band of minstrels split in 2005, just two years after this was dropped on a world that did not care. If the Jim Jones Revue, Rocket From The Crypt, Nightmarchers and other bands of that ilk are your thing, or if you just want to hear a kick-ass 3 piece own your world (and hips) for 19 minutes then this is for you. The only thing I wish is that it was slightly longer, but it is said the absence make the heart grow founder.

8 out of 10 - Oh, now you have my attention and maybe my money, time and heart
